At LJC Jewelers, some of our favorite projects begin with a simple question from a customer who walks through our doors holding something meaningful. Recently, one of those moments turned into a custom piece we’re especially proud of.

A customer came in carrying a gold eagle pendant — a gift he had worn for years and wanted to continue cherishing in a new way. He explained that he’d like this eagle, with all its detail and symbolic strength, transformed into a bold gold ring he could wear every day.

Right away, our team took the time to examine the pendant, discuss design options, and make sure we understood exactly how he imagined the final piece. We showed him different gold band styles, explained durability and comfort options, and mapped out how the eagle could be mounted seamlessly onto the band without losing any of its original features.

Our jeweler Jason carefully crafted a polished gold band that would complement the pendant’s shape while ensuring the final ring sat comfortably on the hand. The eagle charm was then reinforced, aligned, and securely set onto the band with precision — a process that required both technical skill and an eye for aesthetics.

When the customer returned to pick up the finished ring, his reaction made all the effort worthwhile. The iconic eagle now stood boldly on a custom gold band, completely transformed yet still preserving the meaning behind the original pendant.

He slipped it on, smiled, — taking something personal and turning it into a lasting piece of wearable art.
